Peter was born and raised in Ottawa, Ontario. From the age of five he performed annually on stage in front of family, friends, and peers. Although he can’t remember every detail of every performance, what he does remember is how much he enjoyed entertaining the audience. 

 

In high school Peter not only performed on stage, he took part in script writing as well. Along with a good friend of his, he co-wrote two feature length plays that were produced by the school’s drama department. These plays were well received by all who saw them, including the local media. With the success of these plays, Peter was co-nominated for the Spirit of the Capital Award, a municipal award that acknowledges significant contributions to the community.

 

These two plays further fuelled Peter’s drive for success and ultimately helped him realize his calling. He wanted to tell dramatic and provocative stories. He wanted to entertain people with his vision. Regardless of how long the journey would take, Peter set a goal, and he intended to see it through.

 

Peter Sawka is an award-winning director, having won highly regarded awards in Houston and Los Angeles, amongst others. He hopes to continue his success with countless more projects in the future.
