Father Daniel Matthias is a priest of the Catholic Church. He is a good and noble servant of God, but even the most righteous men carry secrets.
On an overcast afternoon in early March, Daniel arrives home and discovers the mutilated body of Candace Davies, his secret lover. When the Catholic Church learns of Daniel’s deception, the bishop expels him. Having lost everything he ever loved, Daniel turns to alcohol.

Some time after the murder, Daniel’s troubled younger brother, Amos, unexpectedly visits him. There is an awkward tension between the brothers for they haven’t spoken in years. Having always looked at the world differently, the two engage in a heated discussion. When Daniel dismisses Amos’ blasphemy and asks him to leave, Amos gives his brother information that will force him to make a very difficult decision.

Divine Enmity is the feature length version of Righteous Sin. Although both films were cut from the same footage and explore the same subject matter, they are dramatically different in pace and appearance. For those who prefer a slower and more arthouse experience, or are simply curious to see how editing can alter a project, Divine Enmity offers just that.
